The salmon was flown in fresh from Alaska and smoked to perfection! It's the best salmon I have ever had. The kids enjoyed dancing with the live band, playing in the kid area and a boxed dinner with a hot dog, aviation toys and junior wings included! The kids also got to sit inside the gold-50 year celebration helicopter! We had fun visiting with the other pilots and their families. Thanks so much to the Halvorson Family of Flight, they sure know how to put on a good party! Grand Canyon Airlines has two parts to it, Papillon (helicopter) and Scenic (fixed wing --airplane). Paul works for the Scenic side of the company but under the Grand Canyon Airline brand name! This job has been such a huge gift for us. It truly has been a huge break through for Paul and his flying career. Trying to take it all in and enjoy every moment of it, for it won't be long that he will be moving on to the regionals. Flying the Twin Otter has been such a joy for Paul. He loves work and loves flying. He started working for GCA with only about 300 total flying hours. He currently is about 1,300! Paul has logged about 1,000 hours this since he started. I could not be more proud of him and where he is today.
