Presley's spirits have been a little down. The steroids are hard to take. I talked to the Doctor and trying to figure out what has really slowed her down and she said...the steroids. Yes the new chemo too but it really is the steroids that makes them so weak. 8 out of the 14 doses are down. We are more than half way! 6 MORE doses until we get a week off and then we do 14 more doses. Praying it's not as bad as it was during Induction. Steroids are nasty stuff, but one of the "guns" in treating ALL. So we have a day off tomorrow and we head back into clinic Wenesday. Today port access and deaccess were hard but nothing like on Thursday. We were thankful for Kristen (Presley's fav nurse) to be back today! There is just something about having the same nurse that Presley is familiar with. Presley was able to meet a little friend today at clinic and played games with her today. Sweet little girl..its fighting the same fight. She was DX in May. Glad today is over..one day closer to being done.
I'm not sure about being here but when asked to smile....I smile! |
I'm over this! |
Eating Oreos with my new friend and getting my line flushed from nurse Kristen. |
I made a new friend today...Megan. We played for a few hours. Clinic is always better with a friend and Grandpa. My friend Megan has ALL too! |
This is what I do these days...STEROIDS STINK! They make me weak and have low energy |
Presley is doing pretty good so far. The steroids and chemo have made her weak, moody, hungry, insomnia, tired & grumpy. It's sad to see her this way, but we know better days are ahead. We just have to get thru this next 8 weeks or so. We love you brave girl. Your smile was still glowing today even though you were scared and didn't know what to expect.
