Aloha

Paul and I took our first trip together without kids! It has been LONG over due! We love to travel with our kids but getting a little alone is what every marriage needs! So thankful for our good friends who watched the kids so we could make this happen. Kauai, Hawaii was the perfect trip for anyone looking for an adventure. Kauai is the "Garden Island", lush tropical rain forest know for its hiking, snorkeling, sea caves, boat rides, massive water falls, kayaking, biking, helicopter rides, white sand beaches and the of course the Na Pali coast line. Flying Non-Rev (using our flight benefits) can be tricky to Hawaii but we had no issues. Paul jump seated so that means he was wearing his pilot suite! But hey a free ticket is worth it! It cost me $142 round trip! Like all the pilots say "I can show you the world, if there is a seat! We flew from PHX > LIH (Lihue, Kauai) early in the morning. We got to Kauai at about 2pm. 

 We got our rental car and checked into our room. We stayed on the east side of the island. We were close to the north shore and the south shore!

We had dinner at Dude's Canoe Clue. Dinner with a view! The food was great and the setting was even better. Hearing the ocean wave is one of my favorites. Paul had swordfish and I have the famous salad bar. The fresh pineapple and the papaya dressing gave it the perfect hawaiian twist! 

We found some yummy ice cream and then explored the beach by our hotel.We were always on the hunt for treasures to take back to Presley. She loves the seashells! This was a huge piece of coral Paul found.

And this was the "T-Rex" coral we found for Crew. He LOVED it!

If feels so good to have the sand on our toes. The tan sands and turquoise waters= paradise to me!

And don't forget the POG (my favorite)!
