We then drove the scenic road to the north shore to explore and spend time at the beach! We went to Hanalei Bay and the Pier.
I loved all the one lane bridges on the north shore.
and found Lumahai Beach. We had to hike down into this secluded beach! Great seashells, tide pools and sand!
Being on this island made me think I was part of Jurassic Park!
We then found Tunnels Beach. This is such a beautiful beach with some of the best snorkeling!
Puka Dog was our stop for lunch. A Hawaiian hot dog! Yummy!
We then drove to Kilauea Point where the lighthouse sits. This is the northernmost point on this island and its a great place to observe the sea life and sea birds.
The ocean cliffs and tall grassy slopes of a dormant volcano provide a protection breeding ground for Hawaiian seabirds and it also provides a safe haven for the endangered Hawaiian monk seal, the green sea turtle and the hump back whales.
We then found the famous Japanese noodle place for dinner.
If you go to Hawaii lilikoi chiffon pie (passion fruit) is a must try!
