We made it a month! Presley was so very sick right after she got her port removed! She fevered for 7 days. Her first monthly checkup post chemo showed a rebound of number from her being sick and having low blood counts. It was a huge sigh of relief for me! I hate that Presley has to get poked in her tiny little hand each time since she got her port removed but sadly it's just another part of life that she will get use to. I'm so thankful for a month free-- meaning no signs of cancer and no more chemo. I can already tell it's not going to take long to forget about that crazy CHEMO routine. Keeping up with the meds alone was a full time job, let alone dealing with all the side effects and making sure to prevent things from happening, vomiting, constipation, antibiotics, insomnia, bruising, and chemo....just to name a few.
Presley's care is has been transferred to the oncology group her in Nevada. We like her new doctor and just getting use to a new routine and new facility.
