We spent the early afternoon in St. George at the splash park, eat dinner, then dropped flowers off at Aunt Gail (my moms sisters) grave site. We are thankful for those who have, are or will serve our country. We know that Freedom is not free. We also honored those that we have lost too soon.
This is The New Harmony Cemetery with Pine Valley in the back ground, my parents live at the base of this mountain.
Here is the view of Kolob Canyon from the cemetery.
I love the contrasting colors of the red rocks and the blue sky.
From this view of the Finger Canyons you can see the patterns of the canyon carving streams along cracks in the Colorado Plateau. Each Finger (5 of them) is like a miniature Zion Canyon showing similar erosion. Its is broad at the mouth and it narrows to a deep slot in its upper reaches.
We hope to explore more of Zion National Park.
