It has been a very busy month for us. We got the great news that Paul was offered a job at Grand Canyon Airlines (aka Scenic Airlines). We are over the moon about this news. Often when you are struggling in the middle of a trial you can't see the end. I think this is the light or the end of this tunnel. This is a huge blessing for sure. We are thankful for those who has supported Paul in this career path. It has not been an easy one. Paul has had his sights on this job for a while and we had a big headwind the past year. We packed up, gave our notice to our landlords and moved to Southern Utah. It feels so good to be starting a new chapter in our lives. I wish we could leave behind cancer but we will continue treatments for another year in Southern Utah and once every three months to SLC. Paul will be commuting to and from Vegas (Boulder City, Nevada) to work. In a week he will start ground school (training) which will take about 6 weeks. He then will be flying the de Havilland DCH-6 Twin Otter. He will be flying sight seeing tours over the Grand Canyon. He has heard from other pilots that this will be the favorite airplane to fly. We are looking forward to getting to spend some time in the Grand Canyon and Vegas. We will eventually get a small apartment in Vegas and spend a week or so with daddy and a few weeks in Southern Utah with Grandma and Grandpa.

We are sad to leave our friends and family in Salt Lake City. For me its hard to be 4 hours away from where we have spent so much time the past year. Salt Lake is my current comfort zone. It will take some time to adjust and learn our new routines. I pray that Presley and Crew will adjust and have little emotional issues with this move. It was hard to drive away but I didn't look back and I'm trying to look forward. I will always remember the drive to clinic, the inversion, the pain and the amazing support we were given. We had a major detour but we are back on track. Life always gives you those detours to learn and grow. It's not always about the destination but about the journey. We are learning to enjoy the journey no matter where life takes you.
