Today Presley is still trying to kick that Rhino virus. She has had it for almost 2 weeks :( Being immune compromised makes it hard to get rid of those common childhood viruses. Her symptoms were almost completely gone last week and then they came back. Her ANC was only at 300 last wed. We skipped this week of treatment, or just delayed it. The last two nights, no one has gotten any sleep. Presley slept for maybe 4-5 hours all night. Tired mama and daddy. We are praying this "darn cough" will go away. We have called the Hematology/Oncologist that was on call 3 times this week. They keep saying we can't do much unless a fever pops up. So we have to just wait it out. The doc also said that it can take a month. Ugh. We go in for clinic tomorrow, most likely it will just be a port access for a CBC (complete blood count). We will have to wait another week if her ANC is below 750. I'm not too worried about getting another week off, I just hate seeing my baby girl not feel good, and not being able to do much about it. Once again left to feel helpless, wishing I could just take her pain away from her. She's too little. She is too innocence. I hate cancer. It always feels so good to get that out.
You rock a sobbing child without wondering if today's world is passing you by, because
YOU HOLD TOMORROW TIGHTLY IN YOUR ARMS.
