Childhood cancer is like a roller coaster ride. One day your up and next your down. Its full of twists and turns. So much is unexpected. With every drop you find your heart in your shoes anticipating the unknown. You try to close your eyes but that doesn't help. So you do the only thing you can, hold on!
The next phase (Phase 3) - Interim Maintenance
(50 days -7 weeks)
Day 1- Methotrexate and Vincristine by IV
Day 11-Methotrexate and Vincristine by IV
Day 21-Methotrexate and Vincristine by IV
Day 31-Methotrexate and Vincristine by IV and Methotrexate in her spine (Lumbar Puncture)
Day 41-Methotrexate and Vincristine by IV
We will go to clinic every 10 days. The symptoms will include: nausea, vomiting, mouth sores, constipation, low energy and low lab numbers (CBC), more blood transfusions, platelets, and higher risk of infections. We will hang low and be house bound.
Praying the roller coaster of life will be easy on us for the next few weeks.
