Presley Claverie stands with Snow White in the ballroom during the HopeKids Royal Ball on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at the Castle Reception Center in Layton.
After clinic today we got all dressed up and ready for the Ball. Presley has been so excited. She had her Belle dress and shoes ready and kept asking when we got to go. The timing was good and got us thru clinic today knowing that we had a fun evening ahead. We had the opportunity to go to an event that was put on by an organization called HopeKids. HopeKids provides activities, events and support for children and siblings with cancer or other medical conditions. The venue was at a reception center called The Castle in Layton Utah. The castle and landscaping was just beautiful. We checked in and made a reservation to eat at the "Bayou Cafe" with princess Tiana. Then we went to the ball room and watched each character came down the staircase. Presley went running toward them and was so happy! You can just see her smile beaming. Her favorite princess was Snow White, because that is who she is going to be for Halloween this year. Presley walked around the dance hall holding her hand. We danced and then it was time to head to the cafe. We had a "fancy" (that's what she called it) little treat and then headed outside to see the beautiful landscaping. The kids made wands and got to get her picture taken with the Fairy Godmother and they gave her a crown and officially made her a princess with pixie dust and all! Crew and Mommy were there but just not many pictures of us!
Thanks so much Amy and CR with HopeKids. We will forever be grateful for the role you have played in our lives during this journey fighting cancer!
The Deseret News guy fell in love with Presley and asked if he could use the pictures he took of her in the news! Here is the link to the article and the pictures. Look at all 13 pictures...you will see Presley 3 or 4 times!
