Wearing her bling and its got gold! |
It was quite the social event today at clinic. We finally got to see our favorite nurse Kristen. Really they are all our favorite but there is something about Kristen that calms Presley's nervous. She really loves all the nurses and they love her. We saw Reiss at clinic getting his chemo and we got to see our friend Megan! Chemo buddies are the best. We relate and having friends with "ports" makes us feel much better that we are not the only ones! Reiss is starting his second week of steroids on DI and Megan is starting DI today. My heart and mind is always so heavy for all these little fighters. We also ran into Joe and Annie (therapy dog) and Danika (Presley's Home Health Nurse) and Doc Flushel in the food court. We updated him on her numbers.
Happy Girl to have Kristen back! Painting a truck for brother...its PINK!
Our cancer buddy Megan! |
We got home and about 4 hour later she started fevering. I dread fevers. Fevers and a low ANC means in-patient. NO FUN. Called the on-call doctor and sure enough they had us come in. Daddy took Presley to the hospital. Thanks goodness she was already accessed and they know her ANC is 300 so we could go straight to the 4th floor and avoid the ER drama. As I'm writing this post they are doing blood cultures and giving Presley Tylenol as she sleeps! I hope Paul and Presley get a good night sleep. We are all running off little sleep and high stress. Praying that the fever has something to do with the Chemo and the UTI and nothing else on-top of it all. Thanks for your continued love and support. Its been a long 6 months. Longest months of my life.
