Our flight did not leave Orlando until 5:30 pm. So one last day at the theme parks
We spent the last day at the Universal Studios- Island of Adventure (the newer part of the park). It poured rain on us at about lunch time but we were under cover. It only rained for about 10 min and then stopped and the sun came back out.
Then we went to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Here was Crew and Presley Favorite ride...Flight of the Hippogriff. Crew was beyond excited. He saw the height requirement sign. Jumped out of the car seat and ran to the sign "Me Tall Nuff". He was beaming when he was given the Yip you get to go buddy. Crew never wanted to stop. This ride was much more intense than some rides they would not let him go on. The thing is some rides are simply just too tall for little kids to ride even if they are the slow train rides. This ride is short in height but fast! We rode this one 4 times! The rest of Harry Potter was for all you fantasy lovers. Paul and I have not gotten into Harry Potter too much. I know..hate me for it!
We got lunch and Presley really wanted to do the Minion ride again...so back to the entrance to enter the other park, the older part of Universal Studios.
By this time it was good bye time. We loaded up and headed for the airport. We dropped off the mini-van and off to the gate.
The flight home was great. Presley was so tried and slept most of the flight. She is not one to usually fall asleep so when she does it means she is really tired. I remember back to the weekend before Presley was dx and she feel asleep in the car on the way home. I did an instagram post about it. Its a big deal when she falls asleep during the day. I thought it was great she feel asleep that day in the car just over a year ago. Today I know why. She was so sick. She had blast in her blood and in her marrow. Poor girl. We are AVgeeks. We love everything about airplanes. The kids always enjoy the airplane rides. Crew wanted daddy to fly the airplane! Cute boy!
Today marks one year from her diagnosis with A.LL.! It was a day to celebrate! We choose to see the bright side of things. I see happy girl today. More on her One Year mark in a post coming soon.
Thanks Make-A-Wish, Give Kids The World and sooo many more who made this amazing trip happen. We will forever cherish the memories that were made this last 10 days.
Love, love, love all of these posts! So jealous you got to visit the Harry Potter park. Keep up the posts Alysa...Loving seeing Presley kick the big C's butt!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for reporting on your MAW trip. We are going to GKTW in a few weeks and my kids loved all your photos. We just passed our one year cancer diagnosis too. Life is sweet and a treasure after this past year. I hope your Presley continues to do well!
