Ready to go! |
This is the village train. They are always driving around to take you where you need to go in the village |
Presley loves to do a smile picture and then do a silly picture!
They loved the "Bunny" sign! |
After eating an amazing breakfast of waffles, strawberries and whipped cream at the Gingerbread House we headed off to this place!
While riding the monorail into the park we spotted the castle, Presley was so excited to see the castle.
The first magical moment happened right off the bat when entering the park. Presley spotted Minnie. We got a picture with Minnie. Presley was smiling ear to ear! We all were! Minnie is my favorite! What's not to like about Minnie? Red, polka dots, cute shoes and a bow!
We walked through main street and got a few pictures with the castle in the background.

We started the morning in Adventureland.
These were our "genie passes" or "golden tickets" while at the theme parks.
Presley wore the "wish button" when it wasn't bugging her, and it told Disney employees and characters that she was a "wish kid". The workers at Disney took this very seriously. She was always being called princess and the staff would bow to her. The staff always went out of their way to make her/us feel special. They always included Crew too. The other pass is the "genie pass' this helped with the long lines and not having to worry about collecting fast passes. Presley gets tired easy from chemo and we all know how a 2.5 year old knows how to wait in line. This pass got us in the fast pass line, the handicapped entrance or walked us up to the exit to enter the ride. This one simple pass maybe was the best gift given during the week. A 4-year old and 2.5-year old really don't know what it means to wait or to have patience. When using the genie pass, Paul and I would often look at each other and say...is this happening?! We were able to see so many characters and go on so many rides. This pass took the frustration out of our days when taking young children to DisneyWorld. I could only imagine the issues we would have had if we didn't have the "genie pass". Only a few times did I get a crusty look from someone standing in the long line to see Merida. I could see how they would feel that way. Waiting in lines with kids is never fun. I could tell this lady was so bugged and wondered how we were whisked right in to see Merida. I wish I could have told her that I would trade that genie pass and the opportunity to "cut" in line in a second...that would mean we would be trading a cancer life for the past year, for a "short" 1 hour line to see Merida. A one hour line to see Merida would be heaven compared to the last 12 months of our life. I would have even waited in the Anna and Elsa line for 5 hours to trade this cancer life we have. Most people smiled and understood when they saw us cut in line and then were told we were a "make a wish" family. This really helped with the guilt factor. What a blessing this pass was for our family during this trip. I don't know if Disney will ever be the same when we go back. We will appreciate it even more!
We then went to the Magic Carpets of Aladdin
After that was Liberty Square. Rapunzel's tower was beautiful and the pink tree buds made it look so pretty.
We also got to see Rapunzel...another one of Presley's favorite. She told them how she was Rapunzel for Halloween and her brother was Pascal.
We went on It's a small world and Peter Pans flight
Then off to the new addition to the park. This part of Fantasyland is the largest expansion in magic Kingdom history.
We did the Enchanted tales with belle. This this is an interactive show where the kids acted out the movie "beauty and the beast" Presley was chosen as the "beast", this was because they saw the "wish/magic button". I was thinking that being Ms. Pots would have been better for a girl but I knew at the end why this was so special. The beast got to dance with belle at the end of the show. Presley was so excited that she got to dance with belle.
We saw Gaston's Tavern. I wanted so bad to eat in the new Be Our Guest restaurant at the beasts castle, these reservations were full well before we knew the dates of her make a wish trip. I guess that means we have to go back soon! :)
Next was the new Under the Sea ride, then went to see Ariel in her Grotto. She was so cute with Presley and let her see in her treasure box. Presley loved seeing the dingelhopper "fork". This was something Ariel did with the wish kids.
One of the Disney Staff after seeing Presley's wish button gave us a voucher for free ice cream for our family to use anytime on our trip. The magic just followed us around the park. The kids loved the Mickey ice cream.
Next we headed off to Tomorrowland!
We all did the Tomorrowland Speedway, taking a ride in our very own hot rod!
Then to the Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin ride
Then Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
Next we stopped by to see Merida from Brave. Merida loved Crew!
We went to the "Wish lounge" by main street. This is a lounge where wish kids can go and get away from the crowds, heat and just relax for a bit. Disney has treated us so good.
Then to see the Fairy's.. Vidia and Tinkerbell
We rode the ferryboat back to the parking lot. It was the "slower" way but I enjoyed the ride. We saw the sunset on the water. It was a beautiful ending. We ended our day around 6pm at Magic Kingdom. The weather was beautiful and humid. My hair is a disaster in humidity. You might notice me wearing the same hat everyday. I needed a different hat everyday just to cover up my crazy hair. But I loved not worried about blow drying my hair and straightening it. I took showers at night and put my hair in a hat during the day. I love that lifestyle. But here in Utah its all about the big hair, not the hair in a hat!
After a bubble bath in the jacuzzi the kids were so tired! We had a fun filled day!
The dress Presley was wearing today was donated to her by Anabel from her Etsy shop. She is a cancer surviver. Thanks so much Anabel. Everyone commented on her cute dress and her cute Minnie shoes. Presley loves her Minnie dress! She was so excited to open that box and find the cutest personalized dress.
Today was a magical day. Magic Kingdom was Presley's favorite day on our trip (so far). Two life savers while on our trip, the my Disney Experience app. This gave us the location to where the characters were. The other was our travel book. This was great to have on hand and to refer to as to what are the "must dos' and the height requirements, maps and helpful hints and where everything was located! This was the first time for all of us at Disneyworld. So glad we had that book, it was a life saver.

Here is how dinner was delivered!
Then off for the traditional ride after dinner!

When we got back to our villa Presley said "this is my favorite house". The gift fairy left "Mayor Clayton and Ms. Merry" stuffed animals. GKTW is governed by Mayor Clayton and Ms Mary.
Tonight at the village was a MardiGra party. The kids collected beaded necklaces and danced with the characters.

What a great trip you had! Your kids were too cute and your daughter is precious posing with the characters. My son is a WK and we're off to Disney in the fall. Thanks for the great post!
