With my nails and toes done and my new beach bag I was ready for the beach!
We left early on Tuesday for Laguna Beach in Southern California. We arrived to our beach front resort at about 1pm. We met up with the rest of the crew coming from Arizona. Our hotel was located just steps away from the beach of PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) in Laguna Beach. I loved the beach house feel of the hotel and the beautiful succulents.
There was a total of 13 of us!
It did not take us long to check in and get our swim suites on and beach bags ready.
We headed down to our private beach and with the help of the cabana boys we got chairs and umbrellas set up. The private beach was just south of "Main Beach" in Laguna. The tide was high that afternoon. This is the walk from our room to the beach. Tough life...I know.
I walked north to "Main Beach" and get the iconic picture of the lifeguard stand. I wanted to feel that sand on my feet and take pictures of the beautiful scenery.
This is the view looking back at our hotel.
Our hotel is the one with the blue umbrellas in front.
We enjoyed the afternoon at the beach and in the evening hopped on the trolley for fish tacos at Wahoo's Tacos. Dinner was yummy. The trolley system and the location of our hotel really made this trip one of my favorite beach vacations ever! The free trolley would take you north and south and up the canyon. During the summer months the trolley is free and so handy to get around town. We took the trolley around the loop to Dana Point and back to main beach and then to our hotel.
We spent most of the day enjoying the beach!
After dinner a few of us went for Ice Cream at Chantilly and we walked Forest Ave. where more of the cute shops were. The rest of the group relaxed in the rooms.
