Thunder Over Utah

We don't ever pass on an opportunity to go the airport! This summer I feel like we have been breathing and sleeping aviation. I'm not complaining! Daddy got his first aviation job, hes been studying the books to pass his ATP written exam, we have been to airshows, saw the new Planes movie and attended a few breakfast clubs at the hanger. We have been looking forward to see the Blue Angles for a while! We took the kids and Benson (cousin) to the airshow on Saturday. It was hot and long (for the little kids) but over all we are so glad we went. We are aviation geeks! Crew thought we were going to see daddy's airplane. The kids enjoyed the venue food, nachos, hot dogs and cold lemonade. We stopped by the UVU aviation science booth and they gave Paul (alumni) a sweet key chain. 

We saw acrobatic planes, parachuters, stunt planes and the grand finale the Blue Angles. We felt right at home with all the other aviators!

Crew still says he wants to be a heli pilot -- We may or may not have convicted Benny to be a pilot. Don't blame us Steffon and Erin for the student loans!!!

Seeing the Blue Angels up close and personal like that is thrilling. Presley was cheering and everyone thought she was so cute on her daddy's shoulders. The precision required to do the maneuvers they did in the air show is amazing. Even Paul as a pilot is amazed at all the tricks! 

We all made it home with no sun burns and stiff necks for looking up all day long. What a fun day! I love that I get to share in Paul's love for aviation. I have been there with him every step of this pilot journey. I still remember taking pictures of Paul doing his first solo flight. A day that Im sure we both will never forget. His first flight was a discovery flight that I gifted him. It changed our life forever. Forever in our hearts...avation geeks!
