Bath

We finally got Presley to take a bath. Most three 3 year-olds LOVE bath time. Not our little brave girl or many of the cancer kids. It took me a few days to figure out why she didn't want to take a bath. Most of it was she was so sick she didn't have the energy or the strength to even hold her self up. This past month we did not really push for her to take a bath. That is just one more thing during the day that I would have to make her do, like taking 6 medications morning and night, going to clinic, taking band aids off, etc. Eventually it came time that we needed to get a bath! Presley has been so sensitive to her port in her chest. She does not want to even take her shirt off to change her PJ's. We have lived in pajamas for a month (yes we did change those daily). When Presley has to be accessed from her port she won't take her shirt off, I just have to pull the neck of her shirt down. I got the idea that maybe it was the port that was really upsetting Presley and making her not want to take a bath. I had a little tank top and gave her the option to wear that shirt during bath. A pink tank top, bubbles, and a daddy to hold her up, we had a successful bath.
