Presley: our happy little elf

Something very special happened to us this year...we had Christmas Elves. Its been a mystery how they got into our gated community and never got caught. I have my guess of who these special people are! They put the magic of Christmas into our holiday this year. It has been a long hard year and to have the energy to even think about all that goes into Christmas was hard. We are so grateful for the generosity, creativity, thoughtfulness, selfless act of kindness and reminding us the true meaning of Christmas. I never seem to have the right words to say Thank You. I don't know if we deserve such a kind act but thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I think these elves could read my mind, they would provide things or leave things that I wanted to do but just didn't have the energy to do or plan. Presley and Crew got so excited when we would hear a knock and find something left at our door. Did I mention the creativity.. the love that was put into this was more than I can describe.
Here is the first poem that was left on the day after Thanksgiving! What a fun month December has been.

"I'm a little Christmas Elf

Santa sent me here,

to visit special girls and boys

that were EXTRA GOOD this year

You see Presley and Crew

Santa been watching you for a while

Hes seen the love and joy you spread

and the magic in your smile!

You are very special children

And so that is the reason

I'll be surprising you with gifts each week

to help you celebrate the season!

You'll never know just when I'll be

a knocking at your door

But I love you very much

Tat you can know for sure!"

They are back! These Christmas Monkeys will always be brought out in years to come and remind us of our happy little elf. Hope and Nick are now part of our family! Can you see on the kids faces they were so excited. Hope and Nick go every where with us...even to clinic! They also left Christmas money. Thanks so much for your generosity.

Our next drop was birthday balloons (they didn't forget we had a birthday that day) and tickets to Zoo Lights.

They then left us a kit to make a gingerbread house and a snow man kit! They read my mind that day. I told Paul that I wanted to have the energy to do something fun...like gingerbread houses with the kids! Amazing.

The last made us all cry (well mom and dad) the kids were too excited that the Elves had come again.

This year has brought some trials

very big for one so small.

The canvas is beautiful.

The last drop included extra elves..we could tell by the different packaging and notes...we are in awe for such amazing people in our life.We are so blessed and so thankful. Our Christmas has been just so magical from these tricky, creative, and amazing elves. I really wanted to "feel" Christmas this year and to pull out of my numb depressed state and these elves did just that and much much more. Every bit of stress has been taken out of this holiday season from the fun activities, family time, Christmas money, toys and so much more. We love you elves and are so thankful for your love, support and the greatest random act of kindness toward our family. What great examples they have been to us what this time of year is really about. It always feels better to give. We know and promise these elves we will pass on this tradition and help another family in need of Christmas Magic. So many lives are torn apart and so many families need what we had done for us.
