Husband and I got a night out this month. We have been trying hard to go out on dates and leave the kids behind. It's hard with all the drama in our life, but we know it's important. Stress and survival mode are hard on a marriage. We made reservations at The Roof Restaurant, the top floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in downtown Salt Lake. The view is just breath taking. We wanted to see the Temple lights and what a better way than a birds eye view. The areal view of the Temple is amazing. We had a great dinner at the gourmet buffet. We then walked on Temple Square to see the lights and walked around City Creek. Nothing says Christmas more than Temple Square. I'm thankful tonight was a great refection on the Saviors birth and the true meaning of Christmas. We didn't sit on Santa lap or even see Santa. Downtown SLC knows how to bring in the charm for this holiday. The horse drawn carriage rides, the lights, City Creek Shopping, great food and so much. We live 5 minutes from downtown and have enjoyed being Urban dwellers!
