Today was our clinic visit for the month. I expected it to be a long day. It wasn't as bad as I thought. We got her port accessed for the CBC and then talked to the doctor. Our doctor was in-patient so that always makes for an extra quick trip when seeing a random doctor. Presley's ANC is 1400. Right where they want to see it. Her platelets are a little low so we will keep an eye on those. We then headed back to the infusion area for Vincrisine (IV chemo). Glad and always a sigh of relief when no sign of cancer is showing up in the blood work. We are still on our nightly chemo and steroid pulses at home. Her hair is coming in so thick and cute. I try not to get too attached as falling out could happen later on. She is happy that she has hair and loves to brush her doll or my hair when she gets the chance. Presley says shes excited when her hair will float in the water like Princess Ariel's. Presley's energy has been great. It feels so good in my heart to see her jump, laugh, sing and run. Her new favorite movie, like so many other little girls, is Frozen. Everyday we watch the songs from the movie. I have tried and will keep trying to get her singing it on video. She loves to sing and dance. I often feel cheated and want a redo of her 3rd year of life but I know that's not going to happen so we just are trying to play catch up. We are trying to learn and sing and dance and make up for that lost time. Cancer and chemo is still part of our daily life but we are starting to settle into more of a routine. It feels so good. We have been eating off paper plates for 10 months, our house is so disorganized (looking much better in the past week), only because these were not on the "important" list.
Thanks Wendy for the Doll and Me outfit! Too cute!
This precious girl amazes me more and more everyday!
